Adina is a consultant with over 10 years experience in understanding and meeting the needs of international and multinational companies working in other cultures, mainly Western Europe and US-based companies with offices in Eastern Europe. Adina set up her own consulting company in Romania in 1997 and has worked for clients such as Nestle, Vodafone, DHL, Gallup, Orange, Electrolux, IBM and Unilever.

Her professional background includes entrepreneurial experience, developing consulting businesses, implementing human resources management systems and delivering training programs. She worked as a Human Resources Consultant for telecommunication companies in Romania and in Belarus for six month-assignments and consequently has a first hand experience in how Anglo-Saxon human resources management systems may be tailored internally in other cultures. Adina has done a number of research projects on cultural differences between the Western and Eastern cultures (with an emphasis on Eastern Europe) and has published a book on the topic.

She has a BA in English Language and Literature from University of Bucharest and has attended management and human resources management courses with The Open University in Romania and Seneca College in Canada. She is an accredited trainer for a number of international licenses in structured communication and meeting management, including Edward de Bono’s "Six Thinking Hats", and a member of SIETAR UK and the Association of Management Consultants of Romania.

Recently, she has completed her understanding of cultural differences and psychological implications of such differences by graduating the MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s College, London. She currently volunteers as a counsellor and psychotherapist for two counselling centres in London and is researching the influence of cultural background on therapists and their relationships with clients.

Adina has lived and worked in a number of countries in Europe and Africa. She speaks English and Romanian and has a good knowledge of Spanish. Adina is originally from Romania and has been living and working in the UK for the last two years. Her passions include research and reading and writing about cultural differences implications for social systems, human resources and strategic management.
