Bjorn Christian Norbech joined itim in the summer of 2002, and is our Norwegian licensee. Bjorn is a true European, having lived half his life in Austria, Germany, England and Switzerland, and the other half in his home country Norway.
Since moving to Austria when he was twelve, he has developed a strong interest of national cultures. As a consequence of his business studies at the Universitaet Mannheim, Germany and at the European Business School, London, he chose to specialise in intercultural management, and wrote his thesis on Norwegian Business Culture in Cross Border Mergers and Acquisitions. That is when he got interested in the work of Professor Hofstede. After having worked for three years as a strategic management consultant, with a focus on organizational cultures, in Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, he decided to focus on his primary interest: intercultural management.
Bjorn is fluent in the Scandinavian languages, German and English.
