Jan Roelof Abbring (J-R) is partner of Ideas4, the Netherlands. Ideas4 is a consultancy active in the field of intercultural management and organizational dynamics.
Born in Damascus, Syria (1960), Jan-Roelof spent his childhood in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands / Spain), where he attended German School. After moving back to the Netherlands he studied aviation technology and obtained a Nima-A and –B marketing degree.
He worked for a number of international companies within the aviation industry as a Technical Representative and Sales Executive. As such he travelled extensively within Europe, the Middle East, Far-East and the USA. In 1991 he moved with his family to Singapore, taking up a position as VP Marketing & Sales Asia for both an American and French company.
Upon his return to Holland, in 1998, Jan-Roelof became a Senior Consultant. He is specialized in developing and delivering commercial, communication and management programs for global organisations at all levels within the company. Some of the companies he has worked for are: Canon, Epson, ESA, KPN, Logica-CMG, Mexx, Nike, Philips, Siemens, Thales and TNT.
In addition to his native language Dutch, Jan-Roelof speaks English, German, French and Spanish.Jan-Roelof is an experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated and knowledgeable trainer who always aim’s at tailoring and delivering programs to meet participant’s expectations.
