Jussara, born in 1957 in southern Brazil, is a senior consultant for the itim-group. She is a Psychologist with a degree from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, specialized in consultancy by the ‘Foundation for the Development of Human Resources’ of Rio Grande do Sul and also has a degree in HR Administration by Fundação Getúlio Vargas, of São Paulo. She also holds two post-graduate degrees in group dynamics and coaching, in Brazil and The Netherlands.
She has been active in Human Resources since 1981, initially in managerial functions within different companies and later on managing her own business. She has contributed to the design and implementation of several programs focused on management development and team building, as well as on organisation development. In 1990 she set up her own consultancy in São Paulo and worked as well as a licensed instructor for the development of entrepreneurs in cooperation with Management Systems International, to implement the UN Program for Entrepreneurship Development in Brazil, Empretec.
She worked and lived in the Netherlands from 1996 to 1998, where she developed her interest for intercultural management. As a consultant in the Netherlands, she trained executives and families from companies such as Akzo Nobel, Unilever and KLM on the implications of cultural differences between Brazil and the Netherlands.
In 1999 Jussara acquired a license of itim International and since then focuses her business in the intercultural field. Through her company she provided services to clients such as: Grupo Odebrecht, Zurich-Anglo Insurance, JCTM Industrial Marketing, Grupo Predial and Embraer. For two years her company carried out the research project "The Impact of the Brazilian Cultural Diversity in the business to business field", a partnership of the Institute of Industrial Marketing and itim Brazil, in cooperation with the Institute for Research on Intercultural Cooperation (IRIC). Moving back to the Netherlands, in 2003, she currently works with intercultural assessment in co-operation with itim Result Training & Consultancy.
In addition to her native Portuguese, Jussara is fluent in English and Spanish.
