Dr. Perizat Daglioglu was born in 1967 to a German mother and a Turkish father and spent most of her childhood and school education in Istanbul. She completed her education in Germany where she undertook a Master of Science in economics at the University of Munich and did her PhD in political economics. Being exposed to these two contrasting cultures, it was just natural that her thesis subject dealt with the intent to impose western free market standards upon an oriental culture and see whether it succeeds. One of the conclusions from her thesis was that forcing one's cultural standards onto another is a rather unfertile attempt regarding economical issues. By analyzing the example of the former Turkish semi-planned economic system and the introduction of western free market values she came to the realization that engrained cultural habit patterns in particular have to be taken into consideration. In addition to her passion for intercultural management, Perizat also realized early on that her heart lies in training and consulting. Upon graduating she began working for T-Systems (a big IT company in Germany) for more than ten years. She worked as a trainer and project manager, conducting various training and consulting projects in the automotive industry. Her role as Head of Training and Consulting Department gave her the opportunity to collect extensive experience in management and team supervision. Recently she completed a course in coaching at the Coaching Training Institute and is now working as a business coach for managers, management trainees and project managers. Perizat is married and has two little children and is currently living in Heidelberg, Germany. Each year she spends about 3 months in Turkey where her family owns a summerhouse and a small boat and sends her boys to the Turkish Kindergarten. Passing down her cultural heritage to her children she strongly believes in cultural versatility and open-mindedness. Her hobbies are traveling, sailing and music and spending time with her family. Perizat is fluent in German, Turkish and English.
