Satu is an executive coach and consultant working primarily with individuals and teams in improving their ability to manage and leverage difference, increasing their intercultural sensitivity and enhancing cross-cultural communication to ensure overall effectiveness and increased productivity. Her professional background is in leadership and career development. She has worked in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Employers and clients have included: Nokia, Celemi, CapitalOne, Shell, EBRD, Laban University, Nordic Chambers of Commerce (London), Sportsmind, Outokumpu, Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), Pioneers of Change, Raleigh International, AIESEC, Focus Expatriate Services and NetImpact. In addition to being an itim licensee, she is an associate of the UK National School of Government, Future Considerations, Cartus, and a member of the Global Coaches Network. Satu has vast international experience. She’s lived and worked in seven countries on three continents. In addition, her work has taken her to over 35 countries on six continents (she’s visited 66 in total). Satu is multilingual: she speaks English, Finnish, fluent Spanish, good French, and basic Swedish and Portuguese. She has a Masters degree in Organisational Behaviour and Intercultural Communication from the Helsinki School of Economics. She is a graduate of Coach University and a licensed Firework Career Coach, and she has been awarded the designation of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the ICF (International Coach Federation). In addition, Satu is a member of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) and holds the certifications to conduct and assess Argonaut TM and the Intercultural Development Inventory ©. With all her rich and extensive experience in the field of culture and management Satu joined itim at the end of 2006. Satu is originally from Finland, but she grew up in Brazil and the US, and she currently resides in the UK. In her spare time she loves reading and is learning to play the saxophone, thus fulfilling a childhood dream of hers!
