Satu is an executive coach and consultant working primarily with individuals and teams in improving their leadership capabilities, their ability to manage and leverage difference, increasing their intercultural sensitivity and enhancing cross-cultural communication to ensure overall effectiveness and increased productivity.
Satu is an executive coach professional with a global mindset, who not only deeply understands a variety of national cultures, but who also has in-depth experience of working across all sectors, various industries and a myriad of organisational cultures. Her professional background is in leadership and career development. She has worked in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Employers and clients have included: Nokia, Marathon Oil, Unilever, CapitalOne, Shell, Accenture, UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Celemi, Tieto, Outokumpu, Tanaka Business School (Imperial College) Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), Raleigh International, AIESEC and Focus Information Services.
Satu has a wealth of international experience having worked and lived in 7 countries (Finland, Brazil, US, Belgium, Denmark, Colombia and the UK), worked in 35 countries across six continents and travelled in almost 70 countries. With all her rich and extensive experience in the field of culture and management Satu joined itim at the end of 2006. She is also an associate of Exetor, Kwintessential, and is a member of the Global Coaches Network
She is attracted to challenging situations that require bridging a gap and bringing people together across a variety of divides, including ones that they may have within themselves.
She has a MSc(Economics) from the Helsinki School of Economics and is a graduate of Coach University, Newfield Ontological Learning Programme, Career Counselling Skills(CCS) and a licensed Firework Career Coach. She has been awarded the designation of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the ICF (International Coach Federation) and she is accredited to administer MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Inventory) Steps I and II, and IDI ( Intercultural Development Inventory). In addition, Satu is a member of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research), AC (Association for Coaching) and ICF (International Coach Federation).
Satu is fluent in English and Finnish, solid Spanish, basic French, Portuguese & Swedish skills!
