Starting her career as a psychotherapist, Wibke Landerer has always been interested in the personality and the behaviour of people, and how people fit in a certain environment, team or company. She is a psychologist with a Master’s degree from the University of Bochum, Germany, specialized in organizational psychology as well as in diagnostics.
After finishing her studies Wibke did research in the field of business focused personality assessment. She also developed psychological tests to be used in team building processes and Management Development as well as tests to survey organizational culture.Wibke worked in International HR Management where she designed and implemented various programs focused on performance management, management development and organizational development. She has built up experience in health care, insurance and the mining and energy sector.
Wibke’s interest in intercultural management was triggered by several assessments with international clients, where she realized that running an intercultural assessment is more than translating the research tools into another language and appraising assignees from different nations. It is about taking into account that behaviour is affected by underlying cultural values. Thereafter she felt that starting to work in the field of intercultural management with a special focus on Culture & Personality was a logical next step.
Since 2004 Wibke has been living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, together with her partner and son. She got certified as an itim intercultural management consultant at the beginning of 2007. Next to her native language German, Wibke speaks fluently English and Dutch and has a basic understanding of French.
