Yolande Slotboom is a consultant for Ideas4 in the Netherlands. Ideas4 is a consultancy active in the field of intercultural management and organizational dynamics. Born in the Netherlands (1954), Yolande spent her childhood in Brussels, Belgium, where she attended the European School. After finishing her baccalaureate, she attended university in Groningen, the Netherlands, where she majored in neuropsychology, clinical psychology and developmental psychology. Afterwards she worked at the Tilburg University as a research assistant. In 1984 she moved to Taiwan R.O.C. with her family where she lived for five years. She travelled extensively throughout South East Asia. After settling back in the Netherlands at the end of 1988 she started to work for the Royal Tropical Institute as an intercultural trainer specialising in intercultural communication, expatriate and management issues with a special interest in South East Asia and China. She joined the itim-group in 2001. Some of the companies that she has worked for are: Philips, KLM, ABN Amro, KPN, Solvay, and Pfizer. In addition to her native language Dutch, Yolande speaks fluent French, English and German. She is Myers-Briggs accredited.
